Pastoral Visits

Pastoral Visits

Pastoral visits by a Greek Orthodox priest to hospitals, nursing homes, or private homes bring spiritual comfort and joy to those who are sick, elderly, lonely or homebound. The priest offers prayers, blessings, and sacraments such as Holy Confession, Holy Communion, and Holy Unction for forgiveness of sins, healing and strength. He listens, provides encouragement, spiritual counselling, social and welfare services, and reminds the faithful of God’s presence in their suffering.

These visits foster a sense of connection to the Church, reinforcing faith and hope. Whether in times of distress,  illness or nearing the end of life, the priest’s presence reassures believers that they are not alone but embraced by Christ and His Church.
