Ladies' Auxiliary

Supporting the Greek Orthodox Parish-Community of Saint Anna

The Greek Orthodox Community-Parish of St Anna, The Ladies’ Auxiliary are the heart and soul of our parish and community. These volunteers are dedicated to assisting in the running and preservation of our Greek Orthodox faith, culture and traditions. In addition, the Ladies Auxiliary raises funds for the operation of our Church and other activities within the Parish and Community.

The Ladies’ Auxiliary is run by volunteers and we are always seeking additional help. If you’d like to get involved with our community, please contact us today.

Charity and Community Support

The Ladies Auxiliary is also committed to helping those in need through charity drives, food appeals, and events that raise funds and awareness of necessary causes within the wider community or across the nation.  Assistance is also given to overseas missions in Africa and Asia.  They also run an annual Cancer Morning Tea, supporting the Oncology Unit through the Gold Coast University Hospital Foundation.

Baking and Easter Flowers

Each Easter and Christmas, the Ladies Auxiliary organises the baking of traditional treats like Easter bread, sweets, and, at Easter, red eggs. They also lead efforts to decorate the Epitafio for Good Friday with flowers. Parishioners are encouraged to place orders or donate to these meaningful traditions.

Community Events

The Ladies Auxiliary support the Senior Citizens Morning Tea every week. In addition to regular events, the Ladies Auxillary play a central role in organising key events such as the Theophania Lunch, Palm Sunday Lunch, the Paschal Luncheon, Greek Independence Day, Feast Day of St Anna, “OXI” Day, Taverna Nights as well as the numerous ad-hoc gatherings that bring our parishioners and local Gold Coast community together.
